pnbspThe spring butchering will be held on Saturday February 14 2015 at the activities buildingpavilion. The cutoff date for advanced orders will be Monday Feb. 9th. Orders will be filled at a first come first serve basis. You can email your order to Jason.lovelessmiddletownvfd.org or phone in orders to Wade Clem at 301-371-6015 or Jason Loveless at 301-748-4787. Pickup orders from 3-6pm on Saturday the 14th at the pavilion utilizing the entrance off of the primary school entrance.p

This morning, crews from Middletown and Media Fire Hook and Ladder #1 - Station 23 traveled to the West Chester Fire Department burn tower to practice live fire training. Crews worked together on first and second floors fires before finishing the day with basement fire evolutions. Crews worked well together and got some much needed time with each others equipment. Here is your Wednesday morning weather update: Heavy rain leading to flash flooding will be possible with showers and storms today into this evening. Most of our region hasn't had a chance to dry out from the heavy rain we had last week, so it may not take as much rain today to cause flash flooding. Also, any storms that develop today are going to be very slow moving, increasing the risk for flash flooding.

The areas of greatest concern are in a flash flood watch through late this evening.

If you have outdoor or travel plans today, please keep an eye on the weather, and if you encounter any flooded roads, turn around and find another way to reach your destination.
